A new name?
It occurs to me that it might be time to change the name of my blog. I think about it the more my blog sounds decidedly. …teenagery. that’s not the impression I’m going for. I’m not some spoiled teenager that thinks fashion is what makes the world go round. I am an artist with ideas . I want to bring those ideas to the people. I want to be a professional. I’m trying...
My artistic eye is starting to wake again. I can’t exactly say why… maybe it is seeing my other artist friends suddenly get more work and make more sales… my path looks a little less hopeless.
Or maybe it has to do with a shift in my spiritual values. I was given a gift, and therefore an identity. Might as well use it.
Or maybe its the encouragement I’ve been getting...

Setting up shop (again)
over the winter it got so cold , my studo got abandoned and used as storage….
everything is slowly creeping back to its proper place and i’m cleaning it up…toting my newer sewing machine upstairs today and setting it up, hopefully it wont be long before i’m in the full swing of things again ^.^

Ugh, i feel so lazy as i try to sit down and read womens wear daily (wwd) …. i know i should read it every day… it was advice given to me in my fashion buisness class to help us learn to watch the industry and such… but theres always so much there and i dont really see how its stuff a ddesigner really needs to see… what will and kate were wearing when they landed in...
Lately i’ve been wondering whats the point of trying to keep a blog, i mean i’ve not been getting enough done to show my readers and even if i was, i’m not even sure that i have anyone reading regularly in the first place…..
It feels like my design work and such is coming from a dry place right now … its hard to crank out anything at all and what is coming out...

Been talking to my school people, they act like they arent ready to give up on me… I wonder why… any way it looks like i may only lose financial aid for the semester, so i can go back i suppose then, i guess in the mean time i will work on my organizztional and time management skills and tryto break the self sabotage cycle… wish me luck!!

… I’ve went silent… all but dissapeared on some of my very best friends… actually did dissappear on some… I’m feeling like scum over that…
I had thought , thst maybe despite falling behind so hard , so far, so…fast…. that maybe if i focused on nothing but school i could save it.

Getting brave...well kinda
Finally hooking up the sewing machine… planning on starting with some nonthreatening simple patterns… asymetrical tuniics… a childrens kimono..(believe it or not that IS non threatening… no frills or special sewing techniques… just straight line sewing lol!) then im gonna perhaps play with a super frilly gathered skirt for my kid (what she isnt gonna complain...

Co-op for a cultural line
i was approached recently by a friend in sl who want me to take thier creations out of sl and bring them into the real world. so farthe line will include kimono and kimono inspired gowns with nottraditional patterns i will likely add in other ethnicities over time as i discuss the with the lines co creator.
this line semms like its going to be a tricky thing to bring to life theres...

i have so much to do to get my studio fixed up… lol i still havent got my sewing machine up… and now i realise… i SO need to set up my scanner! one of my biggerst thins on ther is how badly i want to show you my ideas.. and i keep thinking how can i do that? and i just had a “DUH!” moment when i remembered i have a scanner right here just waiting to be hooked...

ohmigawsh!
i FINALLY FOUND A GRIP FOR MY CHARCOAL! The way my teacher showed us to grip the charcoal kept catching my wrist in a bind and cramping up in my hand, so i’ve expirimented a bit(after all the teacher only wants us to not hold the charcoal like we would a pencil to avoid our drawings looking like our writings…) finally i founa a grip that i tinkered with in highschool works surprisingly...
